Does it mean anything? Or is it another one of those celebrations that people make money out of it? I'll stick to my favorite term, if you dunno by now :), which is 'it's subjective'... some might find it an important things to celebrate... some might think just celebrate it since everyone expects that or does it or maybe the partner wants to... some might think, its just another year, so just let it pass...
Well... if you have a loving partner, then its worth a celebration... if not why bother! :p coz you might end up being the only one who remembers it, or does something about it by getting a gift, or cooking dinner or buying flowers and etc. However, if you partner is the other way around :) then you should join in the fun and make it a special day where you had your wedding how many years back, now that its been a year or more how has it been like... and enjoy the fact that you're still happily married :)
Interesting thing is, every year has a different gift. Found it on this site http://marriage.about.com/cs/anniversaries/a/wedannivideas.htm
Sounds really interesting... especially the 10th wedding anniversary on the modern gifts hehehe... well lets not look at the traditional gifts because you will end up picking stuff up in the house and giving it to your partner ;p
Those who celebrate, very happy for you and wish you have many many more to come. As for those who do not, it's fine :) as long as it is a happy marriage and I wish you too have many many more wedding anniversaries to come xoxo
