The year passed by so quickly... tomorrow is December... then Christmas and New Years... then its January 2011... time is flying! Is the earth moving faster? or are we getting busier with our lives?

- 1st anniversary

- family is all good and healthy

- almost done with school

- got closer to friends

- freedom

- got my dive license

- improved alot of working skills

- CV is much better now

- business is not bad

- passing too fast?

Married but single...

Many experience being married but leading a life like a single male or female... reason? Partner has no time for them... mainly for females when their husband spends most of his time working... to earn money for her apparently... when he is making money to pay for his lavish lifestyle...

After work, they need to de-stress since work is stressful and the wife will never understand (of course, they do not tell the wife anything, hence no information to be understood!) since she complaints him not spending enough time with her... he would prefer to spend time with his friends, be it males or females, when he used to bring her out everywhere he goes...

Then he would find some sad case Sunday, where he would sleep in and consider it a day spent with the wife, and the wife should not complaint since he is home... if not, he would prefer to stay out since the wife would complaint and not understand...

He might sometimes find some day to watch movies with the wife... but then, he would be dragging his feet to the cinema... then showing his long face... after the movies he would rush home with no dinner because he wants to catch what was on tv... But the wife is supposed to understand and not complaint or nag since he is bringing her out and spending time with her...

Wife one day tells husband that she feels lonely even though they are married... he did not bother to understand but just say that she is not understanding and went to bed...

How are things going to be?

Diving changed ME

After I took up diving... I am a totally different person... I picked it up beginning of the year and since then I feel different and I am a different person...

I felt that I have finally lived life... I stopped being so rigid and fixed... I start to have more fun and enjoy the days more fully... happy or sad, I'll still have to pass the day, I'd choose happy to make it worthwhile... I found that through diving...

It's a completely different world underwater... the things one can see... it's magnificent... if I knew it earlier, I would have picked it up many years back... However, it's never too late as long as we are willing and have the heart to do so.

The marine life made me feel we humans are small and ordinary... it's amazing what I saw and what I've experienced... I used to hear stories from divers and thought they were exaggerating... but now, I believe in it a 100%.

I am hooked on diving and am planning my next dive trip after my last dive trip, whih was 3 weeks back ;)

Why do people lie?

Most of the time, we take it that people lie because they are trying to hide something... they did something wrong... they do not want to take responsibility... they do not want to be penalized... when all they are feeling is guilt, fear, and their SELF.

Sometimes people lie so much that it becomes part of their lives. They lie for every single small thing... they lie when they is nothing to hide... they lie because it is second nature... Have they ever taught that if someone finds out about their lie, it would be worse of? I guess they were thinking of the short term and not long term...

Are they trying to protect themselves? But it does not make sense because they are in a more vulnerable position... weird...

Cohabitation

What is your opinion about cohabitation? Any positive or negative opinions about it? Does it lead to divorce in the end?

It actually does have a positive and negative point to it... the positive part of it if that, one could understand someone else really well before getting married, one could try out if this person is for them, one could spend all their time with their partner, the couple might feel more connected, closer and together... but the negative part of it is, its a way one get financial security, not having to stay with their parents, lowered income taxes, and just not having to get married! ;)

Also, it does lead to higher divorce rates... why? because people tend to take things for granted and do things without thinking of their partners, takes relationship more lightly since they stayed together before getting married, lines are drawn and then money will always be the first thing to draw line in, which also is one of the highest reasons couple argue about, and perhaps they just have had too much of each other? well, there are always many reasons for things to work or not...

What are people looking for in a relationship?

Many know what they want... but many do not know as well... for those who know, they might not find someone who wants the same thing as them or they might change their mind about what they after certain experiences or they might not find what they want at all... for those who do not know could either need not to think so much but just find out what they want as they go along or they might continue finding out what they want for the longest time...

SO, what is is that people want out from a relationship? Females? Males?

- just to have someone there?

- to have someone to spend time with?

- to have someone take care of the bills?

- to show that they are stable and family oriented, as if they are running for a position? ;)

- trophy wife or husband?

- it is expected of them?

- someone to be there for you when you need them?

- to have a best friend forever?

The list can just go on... and on... but the question is still lingering... what is it that people want in a relationship? Does it have anything to do with the type of love language they have?

Personal experience as a flight attendant

1. Passengers like to walk around during meal service

2. They like to get up from their seats and open the overhead compartments when we are at our landing seats

3. They like sticking parts of their body out in the isle when we are pushing carts

4. They quite frequently, accidentally, presses the call button

5. Like trying all the different cocktails served on board

6. Love in flight souvenirs

7. Like taking pictures with us

8. Love giving out their business card

9. Remembers our name and calls the hotel we are staying, and asks us out for lunch or dinner or drinks

10. Our colleagues could be tougher to manage as compared to passengers, especially when there is seniority politics

12. We multitask - babysit, nanny, chef, bartender, cleaner, waitress, and the list goes on ;)
